The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is seeking public comments on two industrial wastewater permits for a taconite mine on Minnesota’s Iron Range.
These permits are meant to improve protections for wild rice waters & human health.
U.S. Steel has requested a variance from the water quality standards that protects wild rice waters!
mining companies are dumping waste & harming water, and they don’t think they should have to follow the rules.
